1. Dark Beard>> When my female sees the very young male the edges of her beard turn black, that has never happened before, until now. Why is this? Is she angry? Seasonal(breeding)? Threatening? Also she did a funky head bobbing motion for a few seconds the first time it happened. I got him yesterday and now they are fine (seperate tanks across the room from each other) He only raises his beard when he sees her.

2. Laying bin problems>> Do I need to close my female in the laying bin for her to lay eggs or when she's really ready I just place her next to the started hole and she'll dig? She hates it in that and tries to climb out.

3. Food>> Mom went shopping for me while I was at work and bought Kale, Endive, and another type of Green thats fluffy and scrunchy. She made a salad of few chopped apples, grapes, endive, romaine, and dragon food. I was wondering if I should purchase the Mixed Vegetables bag for feeding? I heard this is good for them...what about the corn?

4. How do you know when the male is safe size to set in with the female for breeding? Freddy(female) is 18-19" and the little male(waiting for him to grow) is 12". Will they gesture alot or what? Right now he appears afraid of her if she's close by. What should I really watch for?

1. She might do that from time to time for no reason like my bearded does, or she might be flirting, not sure.

2. She doesn't neccessarily have to have eggs just because she's a female.

3. Frozen green peas and green beans are a real good frozen food source. Both my beardeds love them.

4. Slowly introduce them to one another when the male gets to the same size as the female.

What if he doesn't get to be the same size, like 2 or 3 inches shorter?
