Here are some long overdue pics showing some before/after progress of my herp room. I have some time from work while I recover from a recent abdominal surgery so I can finally post. I busted my butt trying to complete the new herp room just enough to put my snake collection into the room before I went to the hospital. The ambient temps are perfect and stable and just where I want them. These pics are still not completely updated as I have cleaned and cleared the room of everything and moved all the snakes and shelves into the room. All I have left is the floor, ceiling, and painting. I will probably move my entire collection out this summer to complete all that, as I'm sure fumes would be toxic to the animals. But for now I'm happy and can take my time completing everything else, including a separate bathroom for cleaning and disposing of dirty water.

All but one wall was sanded. Just need to put on some primer and paint. I can't wait till it's all done. I will have saved a TON of money doing the work myself but its nothing compared to the sense of pride knowing that you're taking your time to do quality work yourself.
