unusual behavior

I recently seperated my two juvinile dragons, and while the smaller one seems to be thriving, the one that was doing better while together has started acting weird. He tends to stay in the cold, around 60 degrees, and just digs in his bedding. I thought maybe he had some affinity with that side of the cage, so I moved some stuff around and gave him heat and a basking spot on that side...and he just started digging in the other. Any ideas?

if the cold side is only 60F, you need to warm things up a bit. What is the basking temp? your dragon may think it's time to brumate and is digging for a place to sleep.
