Two weeks past due date! Help, please

red_eyed_magalie Jul 09, 2003 07:59 AM

Hello everyone

just wanted to know if this is normal or if I should go to a vet to see why she hasn't had her babies.

A little over 6' Normal Columbian Red Tail. POS MAR13. "waxy stool" JUL03. (Due date JUN26 -105 days after POS)

Should I be concerned? I thought she was suppossed to have them 1-2 days after the deposit of her waxy stool. I don't know. But I am so anxious...that weather man is killing me...it's gonna rain and it doesn't rain anywhere near me! It is funny to watch her though. She makes a big circle and kinda turns her head in a funny way looking at her stomach like she feels it moving inside and is looking right at it.....just let them out so I can look at them too!

it is hard to say really, but in your spot I would give it some more time....... The 105 days was an average of many snakes factored in together and the time can vary greatly form snake to snake and are even influanced by the keeper and the enviroment the snake is kept in, if the snake seems ok, i would go another 10days before I got really concerned, but also keep in mind, that it is not my snake and it is your deciesion to decide on when it has been enough.
Good Luck
