Two consenting adults (Easterns from Columbia county, Florida) = safe sex . . .

Well, after getting these two adults last spring and having them mate in June (and babies hatched in October) which is quite late for a kingsnake, it's good to see them get their "groove on" today in March!
After eating four mice yesterday, she decided that today was the day to be "in the mood" and HE immediately picked up on the hint and wasted no time, lol! Took this pic after they were locked up for already an hour.
More F1's on the way. . .

Thanks Jetzen. Last year she had 14. I'm thinking around 15-16 based on her (slight) growth from last year.

I went out today to the sandhills and found some more public game lands for herping. It looks very nice - lots of sand and much longleaf pine forests/pine barrens with no civilization!
