Breeding Season Question...

jtmb85 Mar 19, 2005 08:36 PM

In a few years I’m hoping to have my breeding business off the ground and I was wondering if you can house ball pythons in the same rack with ones that you are breeding. By this I mean, is it ok to have the temperature drop and the light dark ratio changed? I know this is probably a stupid question but I’m new to breeding.
Thanks,
James

...to cycle younger snakes in the same rack...but it may throw off-feed these younger snakes and take additional time to reach maturity...better to have separate racks...

Changes in photoperiod (light:dark) have little bearing on BP breeding...temps are considerably more important.
