I went over to a relative today, and in talking about my geckos she told me her roomate had one. I asked her if she knew what kind, and she didn't know. So being the reptile freak I am, I had to investigate. The tank was in a darkened room, I fumbled around for a light, and finally she came and turned it on for me. immediatly I wish she never had. The pathetic thing in the cage resembled a leo, it was more of a living skeleton. I almost threw up. It was dehydrated, starved, in short the poor thing is suffering. He has it on some kind of round pellet stuff, and WOOD SHAVINGS!!! I immediatly told her to ask him if I could take it, even if only to help it recover. I hope he says yes, she is supposed to ask him tommorow. Please pray for the little one, and that I will be able to save it from a horrible death. I would also like to send out a plea to all those thinking of getting into reptiles, please think before you buy. Read up on them, make sure you know what you are doing. Remember to treat them as you would want to be treated. They are totally dependent on us. This goes for not only reptiles but all animals. Thank you. This kind of thing goes on way too much.
