Behavior question.

My beardie Tequila has been doing somethin peculiar lately. She does this thing where she inflates her beard and kind of throws her head back. I thought she was chocking the first time she did it, and let me tell you it scared the heck out of me. I was trying think of how to do the hymlic on a dragon! Anyway, she has done it since then and it is not while she is eating, or right after she eats. She also has been inflating her whole body. It is usually when someone new is by her tank, or the cat is bugging her. She usually doesn't seem to mind it, but sometimes her gets to close. For the life of me I cannot think of what she is doing. Can anybody help me out?

I am not the expert but i have read about it before it is when they feel threatened i think. i sort of way to say i am big and hard. i know what you mean about doing it a random time, my beardie doesn't mind my grandmar being in the room but as soon as she touches my computer he does it, he sees his reflection in the glass sometimes and does it. i think its totally nomal especiallially if there are new people around, i know how wierd beardie behaviour can seem mine waved at the back or the tank once it was really bizzare and researches don't know the exact meaning of it yet.
hope this helps
