South Mountain Reptiles

phiber_optikx Mar 20, 2005 02:47 AM

I am assuming that anytime anyone uses the suffix SMR it means South Mountain Reptiles. I have been to their site many MANY times. But I have never purchased from them, Are they a reliable site? Do They provide everything they say they will? I am concidering buying a Blizzard from them. Or a butter corn. Thanks for your help.

Also, I was wondering if Blizzard or butter corns have great disposition. (I have heard that some snakes have different disposition depending on their morph/breeding) although I think it is Bull I do't know for sue if it is a complete load.... Also curious if anyone will be selling any blizzard (I want one that is almost completely devoid of color) or butter corns soon. Thanks again!

Don Soderberg of SMR is a super guy to deal with. I personaly would recomend him to anyone. As far as Blizzards or Butters being any more difficult to handle, probably not. I read a horror story about a demon corn snake every once in a while, but they are the exception not the norm.

Don is the Man when it comes to Corns.
He is a pleasure to deal with and you will never hear a bad word about him.
BTW,either a Butter or a Blizzard would be a great choice.
Thanks ROB

Don't hesitate to buy from Don. I ordered my little guy from him back in October after reading such good reviews of SMR on several boards and internet groups. He took the time to chat with me on the phone and answer all sorts of newbie: "one caresheet says this and another says that? What do you think?" questions. My snake arrived well packaged and in great health.

My sunglow is not only a real beauty but is the sweetest natured critter I've ever dealt with. Folks that have kept corns for years are surprised how calm he is, not head shy at all, likes to be out of his tank and handled. He spends a huge amount of time just wrapped around my wrist or neck as relaxed as an boa I've ever incountered.

I purchased 2 Okeetees and 2 Butters from Don back in October and I have to say I would absolutely recommend SMR to anyone. Most prompt courteous service I have ever received. The snakes are as advertised and I couldn't be happier.

Don provides much, much more than he advertises!

I cannot tell you how many times I have gone to Don with a problem (either with my snakes specifically, or with some other aspect of the business) at all hours of the day or night, and had him be willing to help. He has been a mentor to me in all aspects of the business, but the one thing I have learned from him above all else is that being a "good guy" is more than just sending out the snakes in such a way as to completely sale satisfactorily. Being a "good guy" is making sure that that customer becomes a friend, or at least someone who knows that you are there for them, if they ever need anything.

Don has terrific animals. Some of the very best examples of bloodreds are found in his stock! He also has a wonderful way of working with people, even people asking the same questions he has already answered about 1000 times this week, although he is always extremely busy tending to his herd. He is honest and completely trustworthy.

I simply cannot recommend him enough to anyone looking to buy cornsnakes on the internet. You can find great business people with which to deal in our little "community"...but none are any better than Don.

I have heard nothing but really great reports on Don's customer service and the quality of his animals. Just looking at the tons of pictures of his snakes on this forum alone shows something! Either way, i am convinced, i will be purchasing a bloodred from him shortly

I have been dealing with Don for a couple years now and if you're looking for an honest, trustworthy person to purchase from, you won't find anyone better. As Darin said, he is always willing to help out if you have problems or questions. He is always determined that you receive great stock and backs up his sales 110%.

You should never be concerned about purchasing from him, you won't be displeased!
