Housing multiple adult Beauty Snakes together...

mattg Jul 09, 2003 08:46 AM

I curently have 1.1 large adult taiwans housed in a 6' Vision cage and was looking to ad another adult taiwan female to the mix. I am looking for any advice as to weather this is a good idea or not. I know I will have to separate them for feedings but other than that if I have a nesting box for each I think I should be ok.

Thanks in advance for any advice given,

Matthew J Giandonato

I raised my original 0.3 baby Taiwans together up until adult hood. They're all 7ft or so, but I no longer have a third female, and have a male in her place. Theres never been any problems with them in my experiance. I always feed them seperately, and put them back together once they've all finished.

I agree with Kestrel. I keep my Taiwans and Vietnamese Blues together in the same spacious cage (6ft x30in x30in). I have 2 Reptariums and I keep 3 juveniles in each. I've provided multiple hiding places but I tend to find them all piled together. Occasionally someone sneaks off to a different corner for some 'me' time, but it's kind of unusual.
