Regurgitation & feeding.

ohannah Mar 20, 2005 07:30 AM

Hi,

When otherwise healthy colubrid occasionally regurgitates, how soon should next meal be offered? Can and should it be fed again the next day?

Thanks.

The snake may accept and hold down the prey item the next day, however the risk is still high that it may regurge again which will magnify the problem. I usually wait until the next scheduled feeding and keep plenty of fresh water available until then. (as always of course) If you want to feed earlier than that I would'nt go less than 4 days and would use a smaller prey item.
