Water Questions

1. What is the best way to get a dragon to drink?

I try several times a week to "mist" them, plus give them a bath in a shallow tray of water. I also give them water from an eye dropper several times a week. However, with wife, three kids and a job I'm often pressed for time. Any suggestions for getting them to drink by themselves? I keep a bowl of water in the cage, but I'm not around to see them drink. i've also set up a glass of ice of a tripod so it drips down onto a plastic tray. I've heard things must move for them to be interested. I've not noticed them using it, but I'm not around all day to watch.

2. Is tap water ok for dragons? Or should you only use distilled water of dechlorinated water? I've been doing the latter.

Thanks.

Witch dragons that are fussy about drinking water from thier mistings and other sources (i.e. my female) i would suggest attmepting to feed them foods with high water content. For example, i feed my dragons collard greens, mustard greens, etc., and i usually pull the leafy part off of the huge stock that's on the plant, but that stock is pretty much like 90% water, so every other day or so i let my female chew and munch and the end of the stock for a little bit. But you dont wanna haev them eat the whole stock if it's too big, cuz that might have the same effect as feeding them iceburg lettuce... DIAREA and you really dont want that.

Hope this helps,

Eric
