Nosey be genetics

zenexotics Mar 20, 2005 01:01 PM

Hi all, I already posted this on the panther forum but nobody has answered, so posting this here to see if anybody can help me out. Does anybody know the genetics of white lipped and yellow lipped Nosey Be? Is it a heterozygous or homozygous trait? Also, which one is more dominant? (i.e. if a male white lipped is mated with a female with yellow lipped parents, what is the ratio of having white lipped/yellow lipped offspring.) Or if someone knows of a person I can contact, let me know. Thanks a bunch!

Great! Let me know! I have a male with white lips and a female, that's sire has yellow lips, but I'm waiting to breed because she's not of age yet. I was curious to see which trait is more dominant. Keep me posted.
