Maybe I will finally get to see what these two will produce. Now I cannot wait for eggs and really cant wait to see some babies.

John CONGRATS!
Either way or however the babies look they're going to spectacular and good looking.
I don't know much about genetics;
Wouldn't it mean that no matter how the babies turn out they will be het for dark or light phase and split or full band?
I guess the possibilities of the outcome of this pairing could be equitable to thayeri cluth.
Good Luck,
Uncloudy
Chris
I don't think the traits are as simple as simple recessive genes. The may be codominant or there may be a variable clutch with some dark and some light just as in alterna. If I am lucky some will show some splitbands, but if not....they should still be great looking. I wonder if I will be able to get a female of my own out of the bunch? If so I will breed her back to the father and see...
As I have said a million times....the anticipation is killing me.

Hey man I'll be interested in trading some thayeri for mex mex this year if you're interested.
My buddy in San Diego just shipped me a breeding pair that I'm starting to put together. It'll be there first year and with any luck I'll get good eggs.
Later,
Russ
I would be interested Russ, but the offspring of this pairing is already reserved.....LOL
I may not even get to keep one myself.
We'll see how it goes. She may have more than I have reserved. I may try to double clutch her depending on her health after her first clutch. She is a great feeder so....maybe?
Thanks for the congrats,

John,
Not keeping any for yourself.
Well, I guess you can always start a new thread after the breading seasons with pics..........

Well........
I have 6 reserved. If more than that hatch out I sure would like to keep a female for breeding in a few years. A pair would be better....we'll see.
I will be sure to share what hatches out this summer....

Right on John. That is a nice pairing. Looking forward to seeing the babies.
As of today they have hooked up 5 times.....The dark female is starting to even swell a bit...
You can't wait......I can't wait!!!!!
