zoolady Mar 21, 2005 01:41 AM

Born in Nov. last year. 2004. He's grown a whole 6 inches already. The grow up too fast.

Heres his first pic.

And here is his most recent, taken today, March 21st 2005.
Might be a little blurry. He has been shedding out into a very light white color around the saddles. The more he sheds the prettier andlighter he gets. It's so beautiful.

Another

Aaaand another

Trying to get all angles here. He is just so preeetty.

And last but not least, the beautiful mommy having a meal.

Hey, I really like that whitish background color coming out on the little dude. Do you know where both of the parents are from? I see you have pix of mommy, but where is daddy?
I can only hope mine turn out like that!

Both parents were out of Idaho. Wild caught.
All the babies from these guys have been beautiful. But only a few have had this white color come out on them like this.
Most have a gray color like this one did when it was born. They usually keep the gray. Then a few have had the reddish brown of the mom or the pretty sandy color of the dad. I love all thier colors. This is the first baby I have decided I will keep. I want to see just how much more it will lighten up. What it will look like as an adult. It is very pretty.
This is Daddy. (His tail was busted when he was found. )
I will be keeping updates on this guy posting pics as he grows and sheds out more.

I thought they were Western Massasaugas (S. M. Tergimenus). My bad. Im still not super awesome at ID'ing western rattlers. It's just a lack of exposure to those of us over here on the east coast.
Still, GREAT looking baby!!!
