I find that newspaper substrate & 60% humidity work very well. The problem with mulch/moss/ground coco husk type substrates is that you need to keep the enclosure scrupulously clean (more than every two weeks) to avoid bacteria, mold & fungus growth. Mold/fungus plus snakes, plus high humidity, plus stagnant air within an enclosure (which is what often happens in high humidity situations) = big no no.
Personally I go with the KISS method, aka "Keep It Simple, Stupid."

>>i just purchased a blood. and i was told they like their habbitat hot and humid. so i put aspen bedding down but it was not humid enough. so my local pet store told me to use moss. which i did and the humidity is around 80% which seems good. but is moss a good bedding or should i use something else. the guy that told me to use this said he use to breed bloods and thats what he did. just have to clean the moss every couple of wks. any suggestions.
