Fecal test ????

Gmagecko Mar 21, 2005 04:02 PM

I have to bring a fecal sample to the vet for our rescued babies. My problem is all 4 are in one tank and I am not getting 4 poops daily. Is it safe to assume being that they are all together (probably since birth) that one or two samples will be enough??? I assume if 1 has a problem ...like with kids...they will all have or get it?? I couldn't even tell which one it's from.I could probably guess based on their eating habits.2 eat well,1 eats...but not much and 1 still wont touch anything. But I haven't given up!
This is the biggest of them

Bring in a few pieces of feces and explain to the vet you dont know which fecal sample belongs to which leo. If one has parasites the vet will treat them all because its likely they all have them.

Also, a note on the one that isn't eating, it is a good idea to seperate "anorexic" lizards for closer monitoring. Some leo's are too stressed when around other lizards, but will eat fine when they are on their own!

Good luck at the vet!!!
