sick snake maybe?

my ball python was active at night when i first got him, which was almost 2 weeks ago, but now for the last 3 or 4 days he has been sleeping even at night, and when something wakes him up he is very skiddish, he ate last friday night, its monday now, what do you think is wrong? im worried, if he doesnt come out and get a drink he could be dehydrated, maybe hes sick? i dont know

Doesn't sound like anything is wrong, he has just settled in to his new digs. They become a little less active once they get used to their surroundings. My guess is he's probably out exploring around 2 or 3 in the morning - you just haven't seen him. That's usually about the time mine get active. Don't worry - when it's time for him to eat or drink, he'll come out and look for it.

Hi, newguy89, My ball python did the same thing when I got my baby ball python, What I did was first I feed her a extra fuzzie rat that helped her come out more and if you are worried about him getting dehydrated put him in a storage box filled with about 3 inches of water, let him in there for about 15 mins. then put him back in his cage for about 25 mins. then put him in his water bowl, Maybe he doe's not know where his water bowl is, My female wc female got a little dehydrated And I had to show her where her water bowl was and she still never got dehydrated again.
