moldy driftwood

kylesa Mar 21, 2005 05:53 PM

Hi, a friend of mine gave me some driftwood he had in his garage. It has a little bit of mold on it, should I even bother trying to clean it, or should I just throw it out and buy new stuff?

And, on that note, since Uromastyx aren't arborial, could I use stone slabs glued together, or a large brick or something instead of driftwood? (for a basking spot)

Yeah, I'd toss the driftwood. Why risk a respirator problem.

The stone slabs glued together make great basking sites, especially if they're fairly smooth slabs.
