i moved one of my female phantasticus tonight to another cage with some of my more established males, and one of them got his eye on her right away, and just now i looked in to see him chasing her around. the male was twitching his tail quite violently, more than i have seen in the past. the female was raising and lowering her tail, and both were licking a lot. the male actually took a few small bites to hear tail, just love bites i guess. that was the first time ive seen that though. also heard an adult phant vocalize (the female) tonight, dont know if that means she was unwilling at the moment...keeping my eyes open though...

sweet!, sounds like they're gettin some action. i hear my white line geckos ( gekko vittatus) vocalize a TON. but i still don't seem to get much from them. i'll put them in a much nicer enclosure soon and hopefully get something from them as well.

I've seen this exact same breeding behavior with my pietschmanni. If you female is unwilling to breed mine runs away from my male even with my male still biting onto her tail.

i recently lost one of my nicest female phants tails do to this.i seen this happen the day before and the next day her tail was off, i should ve moved her out. they have been together for 2 years with no problem though.
