Opinion Poll About Plastic Snake Racks?????

latin1956 Mar 22, 2005 07:19 AM

Hello to all,
I am posting this question here because I feel I will get a better response than in the caging forum.

I am in the market for a few new snake racks. I am looking at the lightweight one. One for my Adult Honduran and one for new babies. I already a few made from wood that mu son made in shop class and they are still holding up. I have looked at many that make the plastic one with heat already installed.
Questions???

1. How do they hold up to long term use, IE sagging??

2. Who makes the best ones for the money?

I hope you guys would share with me all pros and cons, and if you are using any of the ones already being sold please share how you like them.

Thanks in advance!!
Tom

I've used the PVC type racks and they're sagging, showing stress cracks at the corners, but were very inexpensive and worth what I paid. Other people love their PVC racks......
If you're shopping for excellent racks, I highly recommend Doug Barr and his racks. I have several custom sets from him and have been very satisfied -but they're quite heavy.
