Sexing gray-banded kings

I picked up what is supposed to be a pair. I noticed that both appear to be female. They have quickly tapered tails. I'm famililar with eastern kings and rat snakes in which the quickly tapered tails would suggest females. Do gray banded kings have different shaped tails?

I have seen some very confident people be very wrong trying to look at the taper.
