im sure this makes me sound like an idiot, but what do these type of numbers mean? (1.0, 0.5, and such) thank you for the help.

1.0 =1 male
0.1 = 1 female
1.1.2 = 1 male 1 female 2 unsexed

Absolutly nothing wrong with asking questions. 1.0 would meen one male 1.1 would meen one male , one female 1.1.1 meens one male , one female , one unsexed ... Hope I helped you out !

Simple notation for sex ratios. The first number is male, second is female, third is unknown. So if I have three (3) Albino males, six (6) Albino females, and thirty-two Albinos of undetermined sex...it could be written as:

3.6.32 Albino

Of course, if you know all the sexes then you could omit the last number.
