Pine and Cedar have both been known to have chemical effects on animals....it isn't recommended for any animals..not even hamsters... If you want to use something like that use Aspen...otherwise they make the recycled paper stuff that works OK except can get dusty...
Just my thoughts,
Chris

The 12x12 inch tiles they sell at home improvement stores fit perfectly in a 20 long tank. It will take about 2 & 1/2 tiles & the store will cut them for you. They look great, conduct heat just fine, are easy to maintain & you can choose any color, just don't get slick ones, get ones w/ some texture so the geckos don't slide around. It also helps keep their toenails sanded down a bit. I just use a little piece of paper towel in their potty corner. I'd really recommend tiles!
