Hey Zac! Typcially that is the minimum for 1 to 3 tegus, say a 1.2 black and whites or reds. You added: for its "entire life?" Yes, that dimension will work. HOWEVER (notice all caps here), I believe it allowing tegus (if pretty tame, not aggressive) to roam about on occassion in our home. Most who know me on here from before (just returned to the forum after a long break of herps) know I advocate allowing tegus to interact with the family for a few hrs a day. Here in Michigan, this is done primarily in our home, with heat lamps set out in different locations, etc. We take them outside on warm days spring through fall. This may be more of an answer than you asked for..... LOL
Take it easy!
Greg
