Feeding dishes - MAN, am I sick of cleaning them out - any suggestions?

bugmamma Mar 22, 2005 04:50 PM

OK, I am ready for some kind of disposable feeding dish. If anybody hears a loud scream, it's me in my frustration! What do y'all use and where do you get 'em? Anthony, here's another thing you should carry! LOL! I'm thinking of hitting eBay or somewhere for some kind of small cup or condiment bowl...

On another note - not to get all sappy here or anything, and I know it's off topic - BUT - all of you should go give your Mothers a great big hug. It's really easy to forget everything they do and have done for us. We are in the middle of a big scare with my Mom, and while it looks like things will be OK it really makes you stop and think.

Take it easy, all.

I feed the GGD and CGD dry. It means no more cleaning the cages every morning. I just wash them when they empty out and then refill them. I got tired of cleaning a dozen dishes every morning. Been doing it this way for a year and a half. Works for me, and saves me on wasted dried on GGD and CGD.

i use squat paper deli cups. they are a dream come true. before i got them i was washing out lid after lid every night--what a pain!
i got my deli cups here...

I use the soufle lids. I think they are 1/2 and 3/4 sizes (for juvies and adults. I think you get about 50-100 in a pack and I pay like 1.25 for each pack.

I just throw them away every day and use fresh. Very inexpensive to never have to clean anything.

Hope this helps

I just use low ceramic dishes, I get 3 for a $1 and they clean easy. Just fill them with water and let them sit for about 10-20 minutes, rinse and dry. Then again I only have 4 crested geckos, if I had 20 I may go with the disposible little sample cups they use at Costco to give samples of whatever food they are pushing that day.

I use the "squat" deli cups. They work great! I buy them at URM and pay $3.50 for 250. I also mix my CGD in a a condiment bottle that has a nozzle, very efficent and spill free! I have not tried serving it dry? Hmmm? The squeeze bottle works pertty good, But Hmmmm?
