I've had anery and anery stripe and they never had that color (pink?). Are you sure that's not a lavender?

Thanks

These are from Anery Motley's that i picked up from a local wholesaler. The reason we got the snakes is because they showed a nice blue tint as babies.
Some of the babies, however, show lots of pink.
We are in the process of trying to determine what causes the pink coloration.
Thanks ROB

Not having spoken with Rob about any of the specifics here...

I would be willing to bet that the ones with the most extreme pink are males.

I don't know what it is yet, but most of the anery episkiastic males that I have had/seen/worked with showed a pink coloration, whereas the females did not. I believe Don Soderberg has found the same thing occurring in his breeding stock too.

So, Rob...how good is my guessing???

Yes,you are good. Most of the males are indeed much more pink than the females. We are working to intensify the pinks as well as the bluish tint.

I probed this female I have several times, and she is every bit that pink. I will probe her again tonight when I get home, and try to take some decent night time picture, here she is 3-4 months ago.
She is MUCH more pink now.
