Hi, I'm going to make a home made enclosure out of pre-cut furniture grade pine boards, and I'm thinking I should seal the wood so it doesn't take any moisture. Has anyone done this? Is it a bad idea? (toxic?)

But after they do,
AIR it first before putting in the new home owners, LOL . Once you can no longer smell it, it should be fine.
Others may want to reply to this , too
good luck!

I can't find this stuff anywhere.
Do I absolutely need to seal the wood? I ended up getting oak boards, (pre-cut, furniture grade). I'll need some kind of adhesive though to build a basking spot out of slabs. Where can I get non-toxic adhesive??
Yes!!! All wood needs to be sealed. you can get Poly from any hardware store as well as NON TOXIC things you need. Just ask someone that works there.
Things should be sealed to prevenent sap and things from being released into the enclosure. And to protet the wood from moisture. Not to mention it makes things easier to clean up and disinfect.
