They grow up so fast...

Vegas when I got her 10/01:

Just the other day, 2 years later:

My Vegas is growing up! This is the first boa I've raised from
a baby.
It's amazing how suddenly they just start to trust you.. she would hang on for
dear life and move all over, now she seems to know I will
catch her if she falls, she hardly ever hangs on with her
tail anymore. When she sees a shelf or somewhere she wants
to go, she just lunges for it and it's up to me to catch her! lol

Here is a comparision shot, both boas were born 5/01
I got the salmon (cinnamon) at a year of age, she was either not fed a
lot or fed small items, you can see the size diff.

Here Cinnamon and Zahara seem to want to say hello to each other

My b/f caught me doing something bad... got the boa around my neck! hee

I love boas!

I can't wait to see how Vegas turns out as a full-grown adult.
She doesn't have much color (ie, no pink or orange hues etc)
but that tail gets me every time!

I can appreciate perfectly what you mean. In the 4 months I've had my Oct 2002 Dumeril she is almost twice as big. It seems everytime I feed her, wait 3 or 4 days and then uncover her...it is like wow! at the increase in size. Almost scary. Boas are indeed great snakes. Dumerils especially so (in my humble opinion).
