make noises? Mine did tonight. It was kinda a cross between a low pitch squeek and a purr! I was feeding her, and she would put her head out and make this noise. It appeared to be to get my attention to feed her more!

Turtles don't have vocal chords. However, they do hiss and can sometime create hissing that can be constrewed as a chirp or various other noises.

I thought they didn't have vocal chords, that's why it surprised me so much! How do you suppose she's making that sound?
