Question on shed schedule....

Drosera Mar 22, 2005 11:03 PM

I just adopted a lovely little Cal king, 3.5 ft long, underfed but good tempered. I have had him since Sunday and his eyes just clouded up this Tuesday afternoon. So, I was wondering, what's the general schedule of an adult kings shed? How long before the eyes clear up, and then how long till the shed itself?
I'm asking since I have a vet checkup for him scheduled Saturday and am wondering if I need to reschedule. Anyway, thank you.

The shed cycle for a kingsnake is about 7 days from start to finish and it shouldn't effect anything for the vet visit. A good idea is also to bring in a fresh fecal sample for the vet to look at.
Congrats on your new kingsnake,

Thank you! Good to know the shed won't interfere with the checkup, and I'll certainly bring a fecal in.
