My first litter ever just dropped tonight!!!!!

CCS Mar 23, 2005 12:47 AM

I bred a pastel male to a female pastel back in November and she finally dropped, I don't know exactly what the number of days after POS was because I just wanted to let natuure take it's course and not drive myself crazy. She gave birth to 25 perfect babies, no slugs, no stillborns. Just perfect, stillborn babies. They look like they will smoke after they shed. You can tell a few are nice pastels right off the bat. I will post pics later. This is such a huge moment forme, I have kept boas for 7 years and had no luck last year, which was my first attempt at breeding.

I was really lucky and got to see her give birth to about half of the litter.

She looks really dark in these pics.

Good luck to all this breeding season!

That is totally awesome! Having a 100% healthy viable litter really says something about your skills as a keeper.

I appreciate the kind words. Jason/Danica, my males quit breeding around Christmas and I couldn't get them back in the mood. Chris, the whole litter being viable was what I was most excited about, I believe it was the fact that the female is almost five years old and not too large but not too small, around 7-7 1/2 ft and healthy.
