Please help me advise a client who reads this forum. She has a large female ball basking inverted off and on. The animal was bred by a pastel male. No ovulation or PO shed has been onserved. Last shed in January.

Can you pros help her? She'd like to know what is going on and what to expect.

Hard to say. Could be something, could be nothing. All of my snakes do it: males, females, hatchlings, etc. I don't use it very much in terms of determining if a female is gravid. But it can be used as a supporting sign if other signs are present.
