I just read the thread on the vision cages and have a couple questions. I am going to a herp show in a few weeks and there will be a vision cage vendor there. Do they have lower prices at shows or can I expect to pay the same and just avoid shipping charges?

My beardie will be about 3 months when I finally get him. I have a 20gal (and a 29h) for now but will obviously need something larger by the end of summer. The VC are expensive so I may not go that route as a friend offered to help me build something...that will be a later post

What is the minimum enclosure height requirement for a juvi and for an adult?

almost anything you buy is going to be cheaper at a reptile show. I dont know exactly how much of a discount you will get though.

As far as demensions...for a juvie you want something at least 3x as long as they are, and wide enough for them to turn around. Most people start their hatchlings in a 20long, which is the same demensions as your 29g only shorter. You would probably be ok (depending on how big your guy is) to start him in the 29gallon. For an adult you want something at least 4x3x3 (LWH) a 40breeder is the minimum aquarium size, although a 75 or 90gallon is a much better choice. Custom built ensclosures are nice because you can make them whatever size you want, but they are quite an undertaking to build. If you have the money vision cages are awesome!!!
