feeding advice needed

jamiec Mar 23, 2005 05:16 PM

I have 2 18 month old female amels and a 9 month old male striped amel. The girls are 30" easy and on rat pinks, the boy is about 15"-18"and on week old mouse pinks. What would be a good feeding schdule and when could they breed-safely?

thanks in advance for advice.

I wait till the third year to breed my females. You can use the males to breed whenever there ready to.Ive seen year old males breed. You could probably feed them all normal size mice or even large mice for your females. At that size I feed them once a week.As they mature say 5 to 7 years old I slow the feeding down to once every 2-3 weeks. All my adult snakes just get fat and lazy if I feed them more than that.Im sure other people do things different but this works for me and all my snakes are healthy and active...Paul
