ball not showing interest in food lately

on saturday i tried feeding my ball a thawed rat (its the right size for him to eat) and he showed no interest just looking at it so i thought ok ill try a few days later and i tried today and he looked at it and went back into his hide should i be worried this is teh first problem ive ever had of him and he is about 1.5 years old should i take him to the vet or just try to feed him again later on (he is very fat and about 2.5 feet long)

It sounds like he just wasn't hungry. If you want a better answer need to know:

How old is the snake, how long have you had it, what does it normally eat, when was the last time it ate, how often does it normally eat, and has it deficated since last eating? I think that covers it.

he is about 3 years old and ive had him for 2.5 years he usually eats a medium sized rat every 2 weeks and im not 100% sure if he has pooped after he last ate but im almost certain
