When will colors start????

boomhauer Mar 23, 2005 08:03 PM

I just recived my bea-utiful panther cross chameleon from kamoflage creations (who were great) and I was just wondering when his colors would start to show. Right now he is a sort of brownish red with a litlle bit of white. He is around 3 months old and my first chameleon.

He's still very young. I know color starts vary in panthers, and it might be genetic. The Kammers may know when this particular parent pair started showing and might be able to give you an idea. It will be several months at least.

It will probably be 4.5 to 5 months here is mine from kammers at 5 months

For panthers, their full adult coloration won't be seen until at least 1 year of age. My Tamatave didn't get his full coloration until 8-10 months of age....and after 1 year, he finally got his entire "fired" up look.
