Recently my horned lizard, Petunia, shed her skin for I'm assuming the first time. This was about 2-3 weeks ago. A few days ago out of the blue I went to pet her and was thinking about taking her out of her cage.
She made the one noise she makes, which is kind of a high pitched hissing noise. It's not really hissing but you can tell she's letting air out in kind of an angry/annoyed fashion. Well I tried a few more times to pick her up and she lunged at me. I left her alone for 2 days. Today I pet her and she seemed to be alright, but I didn't pick her up.
Anyone know if this is common?
