no every time u use the supplements one time miner-all which is like the best than rep cal that will work just fine. I use supplements 3 to 4 times a week that just my 2 cents.

I have used both minerall and Repcal, for 14 years, I like Repcal better, only because its easier for me to get, I buy in bulk. If your buying those small jars at a petshop, then either one is fine.

Minerall, seems to stick to crickets better, but repcal is totally proven for me. I have raised generation after generation with it. I did use minerall, about thirty pounds worth and saw no real difference. Good luck FR

thanks for the input would it be any better to alternate useing them dust the crickets with one one day and then dust with the other the next or should i stick with one until its gone then jump to the other ?

I was under the impression you didn't use supplements.

I have no idea where or why you have that impression, I have always dusted crickets and thats the end of that story. For the last 6 or 7 years, the majority of our monitors are larger types and we do not feed them crickets, so with those, they get no suppliments what so ever, there is no need.

Again, with crickets as a sole diet, then there is a need, so we do. If you feed pinkies or chopped fuzzies as a staple to your small monitors, then there is no need to suppliment.

We do still have a few individuals of a few species of small monitors. So there you have it, I hope this makes a better impression. Again, it boils down to need, not regime or protocal.

I know you didn't ask this, but as usual I will at this anyway, I do not do whats not needed, its important to understand why. Not doing whats not needed gives me time and energy to do what IS needed. Thanks FR

My mistake. Its UV lights you've found to be unnecessary right? Unless I've got that wrong too.
Cheers

You got that right, UV bulbs no, suppliments only on insects. Of course there lots of other things that are envolved to. FR
