Just a thought.

I am wondering... is it against the forum rules to discuss selling snakes on the forum?

It's against TOS to post an ad on the forum, such as "i have so and so snake for sale, $300, call me at 555 123-4567". As far as I know, it's not against the tos to ask questions about experiences people have had with individual sellers you see in the classifieds.

Actually, I dont think you can do that either. You can get away with some people but if it starts getting a little negative you probably need to go to the other web site that shall not be named.

Well, my question was more along the lines of, like if I were to start a post that said "Is anyone going to be selling any okeetee's after this season?" Would that be against the rules? And if so how would I find anyone to buy from on the forum? just asking, I am going to buy from smr. But if I wanted to how would I find out?

that you agreed to abide by when you registered at this website:

"Advertising" generally means the solicitation or statement that you have animals and/or items that are for sale, trade, wanted, free/being given away, stud service, or for adoption.

"Inquiries" versus "wanted ads" - there is a fine line between inquiring about an animal or product and posting a wanted advertisement for one. For example, it is not ok to announce "If anyone is selling or giving away a lizard, I want one," or "I have a litter of puppies, email me for details." It is ok to inquire about (ask for) if anyone knows a breeder of a certain type of pet, or a seller of a certain kind of product, but it is not ok to offer this type of information unsolicited (unasked for).

Hope this helps.

So if someone wants to know who has 2 headed dogs for sale; and I have some, can I then say on the board that I have some for sale. I dont have any 2 headed dogs by the way. Just curious. Thanks.

IF (and this is a big "if" the original poster had inquired as to who was the best breeder of two headed dogs, then possibly you could chime in and say that you breed two headed dogs and to email you for more info. But if the original poster just asked who had two headed dogs for sale, that post would probably get deleted for violating TOS. But you also have to remember that we moderators are only human, and as humans, sometimes my interpretations might be different than someone else's interpretations. We do the best we can. It would be much easier if this were not an essay type test, but instead was a multiple choice test, so we could just use a premarked answer sheet to check for violations. I hope that last sentence/analogy makes sense to you.

And good luck with your two headed dogs, as I have enough problems with my one headed dogs.
