The little guy is smiling for the camera

This male was sold to me as an indian uromastyx (Hah!) Now that I know a little more now, I think he is either a Mali or North African. Any opinions?

It could be a mali but I doubt it (too hard to tell from this distance). It looks like a Morrocan uro to me.

The thick shed is finally coming off his tail. It took a failed introduction to a potential cagemate to break through the layers of old shed.

Those two species are so much alike that they were classified as the same less than 20 years ago.

Is there any way to get a picture outside of the enclosure? The color from the basking lights makes it hard to get a good look. This picture looks like a Mali to me, but the others look different.
