I have this weed all over my front yard. I've been trying to find out what it is but with no luck yet.
Anyone know what it is and if it's edible for a russian tortoise?

It looks like a kind of violet (dog violet?). But I can't see the flowers well enough. Are there 3 petals or 5?

My russians and leopards like the leaves. I don't think they are as interested in the flowers.
