LeeBarrie Mar 24, 2005 06:21 PM

Caught these guys locked up this morn. & figured I'd better get a pic. I'm certainly not expecting anything from these guys but you never know. And yes, these guys are pure.

Awesome, good luck. Just curious, at what temp gradients have you been keeping your diamonds? Im looking for something to happen soon of my own. I keep mine in tune with the temp outside (Southern AZ) via an open window and the enclosures with access to natural sun. They have come out of hibernation and are starting to feed again, just wondering if I can look forward to some of that myself. Thanks, Brad

I kept the little beasties in my bedroom from the 1st week of Dec. to the 1st week of March. The whole time they were in there, I left my windows partially open. Temps throught the 3 months ranged from 40 to 60 deg. F. & averaged 50 to 55. A warm spot around 80 deg. was on every day for 5 to 6 hours. They seemed to really enjoy the basking & took full advantage of it.

It really is amazing that at 45 deg. they would sometimes cruise around. I wish I could have gotten them some sun during the basking, but it just wasn't feasable. I did use a 2' flourescent grow light over their basking area in my feeble attempt to compensate. There was courtship in the last 3 weeks of hibernation also.

I'm still doubting anything happens, but keeping my fingers crossed.

It looks like Matt, Adam & myself are doing Daytona this year. I'm looking forward to saying hello to you guys again.

Take care
