My burm ive had now for a few years is only 9'. my girlfriend owned him before i did for about 2 years. she only fed him about once every 3 weeks-month. so he grew really slow. he is about 5 years old now. how long do you think he will reach having been fed so sparingly when he was young??? currently he is on (1) 1 1/2 - 2 lb. rabbit every 10-12 days. thanks for your predictions?? ~anthony

Are you asking if the snake will be stunted from being fed once every 3-4wks?

well, it seems like he has been stunted, i mean 5yrs old and only 9'. shouldnt he atleast be full grown now. ive never heard of burms that were under 10' as adults. ~anthony

I would consider 9ft adult. How big do you think it should be?
Males are smaller than females anyway and some males are poor eaters once they reach breeding size.

I would also consider (sp?) 9 ft to be adult size in males, for females I would say 11 ft. For a 9 ft male, a 1.5-2 lb rabbit is not enough, at 9 ft he should weigh about 35 lbs ( or - a few). That means he should be taking 3-5 lb rabbits every 2 weeks, or a 1.5-2 lbs every 7 days. Once he gets the right food intake he should start to grow a little more, he may reach 12 ft (and 60-70 lbs) or so but he will not get a whole lot bigger in my opinion.
