Reptile Relief

darkpythons666 Mar 24, 2005 06:54 PM

I was wondering if Reptile Relief is really as good as everyone says it is. I recently had to take care of a mite prob on three newly acquired burms of mine. The mites are all now dead, but I had seen Reptile Relief and was only curious in the case that they happen again.

Thanks

well i dont know about reptile relief but i just had a mite problem with my 16 1/2 foot male burm and my 7 foot female sri lankan and i used provent-a-mite from pro products...it is awsome..i am seein a ton of dead mites in only 2 days! i didnt see the mites until my male was shedding and they were swarming all over him...i used the spray as indicated in thier cage and soaked them in the tub for a few hours and viola....mites are droppin out of sight. good luck ..they are nasty little bugs

i couldnt get results with repti-releif, i used provent-a-mite. i still use relief as a preventative, but i think for a bad infestation (you know, when you actually start to notice them), provent-a-mite is the way to go. i used relief to clean my hands after handling the infected snake and the snakes cage etc.

When i first got my burm he had small case of mites. I used rept-relief on him every 3 days for aobut 2 weeks cleaning his cage with bleach every week. Now the mite problem is gone completly. I give it a 10/10.

I think the best weapon against mites is a reptile relief/provent combo. Provent-a-mite is great for the enclosure, substrate and decorations if you have any. But you can't use it directly on the snake. With Reptile refielf, you can spray a cloth and then wipe your snake with it and it kills mites on contact. You can also spray directly on the snake.
