I have a real problem with this forum.........

bthacker Mar 24, 2005 11:33 PM

It seems like there is alot of energy spent answering the same questions from the same person. OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

Yes, I don't have to read the posts but it seems like everyone is annoyed yet ya'll continue to answer the questions that can be found by doing a little research and reading, not to mention listening and practicing what everyone here writes. IT'S REALLY A NO BRAINER!

I didn't have a forum but I had an association that I went to but the difficult questions that keep coming up have been answered already. Get a book....open it up, read the text and practice the proper husbandry, feeding techniques, etc.....

I can imagine how frustrating it might be for some of you to keep typing and typing. Please tell me why you do it? It doesn't help a person who doesn't listen!

Sorry to vent.....but I would like to see something else in this forum besides the same questions by the same person being answered over and over with no results.

so I will contribute and explain. A well respected person in this hobby once referred to responses to the posts you despise as "spankings." It is usually a younger person who is being jumped on and they are dealt with in a harsh manner in hopes to make things click in their brains very clearly and in big bold print. Many times this works and keeps kids from further perpetuating their brilliant ideas which will ultimately lead them into trouble and harm the entire community which the public loves so much. I love it when I get to answer a more unique question. The one on twin pythons was great and a nice calm after the storms which tear through here. I am aware we have some people who nothing seems to register clearly and continue to waste potential productive space. Their time of being able to manipulate this forum will die soon. But at least new comers can read the mistakes they make and hopefully people we don’t see making posts are benefiting from the responses they receive repeatedly. Just my cloud nine opinion.

I hope you understand how frustrating it is top see this kid who has lied in the past and who keeps continuing to post the same questions day after day, with no real results from some awesome advice from everyone. And it seems like there will be some hesitance from newbies wanting to learn that are afraid to post their own qusetions(look at above post). I honestly think this kid really should be ignored. I have seen alot of awesome advice given to this person but it seems in goes in one ear and out the other.

Hope everyone understands my point.

I like the point you made about others seeing what NOT to do. Even a person with rocks in their head can see where our subject is a complete turd-pusher. The originating post mentioned being tired of seeing the same things from the same person. I can feel their pain however if there were other questions that needed to be asked, there's losta space to do it. Bloodboy128 will continue to do what he does and we'll continue to answer him. Lately it seems that's the only questions being asked on the forum. To all, don't get discouraged. It's still a great forum and allot can be learned from it. If the same questions are being asked, it's quite possible that someone new is reading and IS learning something from it even if the person asking does not. Like eunectes4 said, his time will pass.
