Everytime I come to this forum there's a thread a mile long...usually with only the first two posts being the question and the answer, then the rest is everybody yelling at each other. It seems that some of the experts on this forum have problems answering the simple questions...but maybe for newer people those questions don't seem that simple or self explanatory as it does to those of you who have been in the business forever. And if we can't ask questions here where are we supposed to go? Maybe some of you long timers should start an "expert herpers forum" for all the really tough questions, so that us newbies could post here without fear of being attacked over our "simple" questions. Or maybe you guys could save some answers on your computer to some of the easier questions that you could just copy/paste as answers on here. Sorry...just scared to use this forum.

the yelling is always at someone asking the same question, namely, it tends to be at one particular boy always asking the same question. asking a question once, one oyu genuienly dont know, doesnt result in the same fire. scroll through the past logs, and you will start to understand. people get angry because they are almost watching a poor animal die under poor conditions, despite constantly telling hte person the right way to do it, its like a slap in the face to the people trying to help to see the same questions refrased a few days later, trying to seek the answers the person WANTS, instead of the truth. the yelling 99% of the time happens when a person has a pre-decided answer or direction they are going to go in, ask for input when they ahve no care asto what the people replying might say negatively.

Honestly I was a little terrified of some of the replies on this forum. Hopefully that one guy won't ruin this forum for some of us other newbies, I'd hate to not be able to ask questions for fear of harsh answers.

I'm pretty much a newbie myself. Eh, sort of anyway. So welcome and please post any questions you're wondering about. (though it may be wise to scroll halfway down the page to see if it was asked and answered in that time) There's a lot of incredible info and many highly experienced people to learn from if you're willing to occasionally duck when any fur flies.

I just hope we haven't gotten into the habit of snarling and hissing on reflex. Sort of easy to get jaded...

You may still get a few who are sick of the same questions even if asked by different people. They are no better than the ones who ask the same question and do not heed the advice. Brush em off and don't let it ruffle your feathers. If you honestly wish to learn, not find someone who agrees with jacked up ideas, than this is a good resource. However, it's easier to help those who try to help themselves. Bloodboy128 doesn't seem to even try and so he is bombarded like he is. Read recommended literature, check out many web sites and articles. See a vet. If you have questions, ask. Surely if someone will take the time to answer 128, they'll have time for someone who REALLY wants to learn.
