North Carolina's Garwood bill

Yep. You guessed it. Another one.

Another one bites the dust!

See guys...It's just so much easier to ban the animals outright than it is to mess with a complicated permit system. Basically, that bill implies that your average "herp hobbyist" is a moron, that cannot provide for the necessary requirements that an "inherently dangerous animal" requires....

Is this bill law yet, or must it be approved?

I love how the state of North Carolina has already outlawed the keeping of all adamanteus and horridus....This just about covers everything else (with the exception of the native coppers and cottons).

Doesn't look like I'll be relocating to North Carolina anytime soon!

The more of these idiotic bills that are put into place, the more I'm really starting to see the appeal of moving to Florida. I'd like to keep exotic venomous legally someday, and by the time I'm ready to move, I'm thinking Florida will be the only place that it is legal to do so. For now, I'll just enjoy the keeping of the wide variety of LEGAL native crotalids that the state of Arizona has to offer. (That is until that changes too.)

Know an idiot? Tell them to run for public office!

The site says it is still under constructioon. Do you know when it will be ready? Do you have a list of Senators that may vote on our side. Anybody know something about the judicaial sytem and how we should respond. I know votes count but that is in the future.

after the dealings i have had with animal control in several counties, from camen in char/meck to tiggers in gaston, i knew this would be comming.
i hate that they want to tell us what to do, what types of animals to love and have an interest in, but they at least put in a permit system. not that it helps me..the whole conviction time limit...guess my husband will be owning my "big kids" for a few years. if we can get this stopped we should, because who knows where the next step will go, but lets all be sure to keep our cool work together and the biggest key BE RESPONSABLE!!! the last thing we need while trying to prove that we as a the herp and exotic loving community say we can take care of ourself is for someone to get bit/mauled/killed!

Who can we spam with letters against this?

Cheers
