Can you keep a redbelly sideneck or a reeves turtle with a red ear slider if they're the same size?np

It's not a good idea to mix species. Even though both are small now the RES is going to get MUCH larger then the Reeves

While it could be done it really is not recommended to mix species from different parts of the world.

Redbellies are pretty well-behaved but Red ears are surprisingly aggressive, particularly the males. A major turtle person won't keep sliders in his huge collection for this reason. I have had females long term with a diverse collection without many problems, but the males can be rough.
