camera q's

Now that I'm having some babies hatch... and a lil extra money from graduation... Time to get a camera, and soon. Maybe tonight even. I'm ready to didicate $500 to getting the camera- now what do ya all reccomend? Of course I want crystal clear close-ups, but video is a very big plus. With college (parties) and all in a couple of months, a video camera will never be a bad thing to have handy.

I'm probably going to BestBuy to get the camera, so if anyone knows of a sale or on-line add or something for the camera that they reccomend, that'd be sweet. Thanks in advance to all.

Hey, i work in the cammie dept at Best Buy. If you want the video feature, it won't be real great on a digital camera. It will be good for online stuff and emailing, but not for everyday use. As for crystal clear close-ups, Nikon's make real good close ups. Audio/video movies are included with sony and canon's, and olympus $600 c-750 camera with awesome optical zoom. I myself have the c-50, but i can't get real real close for macro pictures. Not as close as some people can get with theirs. Although mine takes awesome overall pictures. As for the overall kick butt kind of camera, check out the Sony P-10 at 5 megapixels or the Sony P-8 at 3 megapixels, they both also use sony's infolithium battery, MUCH better than using the old AA's. anyways, anymore questions feel free to drop me a line
